The center owned a qualification certificate for investigation of fishery pollution accidences (A level) issued by the National Supervision & Management Bureau of Fishery and Harbor and a qualification certificate for environmental impact assessment of construction projects (A level) issued by the National Environmental Protection Bureau .

It takes charge of routine, specific and emergent monitoring of fishery water bodies in the East China Sea , environmental impact assessment of construction projects , technical identification of pollution accidences .

For years , the center has accomplished many projects in environmental monitoring and environmental impact assessment.
